turn the gentle spiral
are you really here?

i was amused to find out that she who has pretty excellent music taste, was also taken in by the magic that is glen hansard and markéta irglová. but to say glen hansard sounded like damien rice was rather offensive. after all, glen hansard was around way before damien rice was. and i never quite like anything overhyped. it is just such a killjoy.

anyway i have him to thank because he introduced the frames to me when he pulled out their cd and told me to take it.

pinback has a new album. and i still have school and readings to do. and think about it, but all your responses are learned.

so you were looking for something really good, but it does not happen. because all that you encounter are those that (and i'm sure you have heard this all before) want and try so hard to be different, they just appear to be the same kind of different. an unappealing and ordinary type of make-believe interesting.

i always thought the most astounding beauty are those of the understated beauty. the type that holds back so much, remains so out of reach and mysterious that you can't quite comprehend. what i don't fully understand or don't understand at all intrigues me, surprises me at every turn. it is a type of thrill, almost like the kind you get from chasing your own tail. but mind you, it is certainly not cheap. a costly affair indeed, this understated beauty, for it leaves you wanting more.

for a long time coming, i have wanted to watch 'once'. now more so than ever.

she told me her friends thought they were too cool for that. one time or another, i had the same kind of thinking too, about being too cool for something. i believe most are guilty of that thought, one time or another.

you know, truly, you're never too cool for something. most of the time, we are just too afraid.
